Chicken Brooders heated with Infrared Heaters

The BLACKHEAT ® AG Infrared Unitary Heater can be ideal for efficiently heating chicken brooders because infrared heaters heat floors and objects, not the air. The affect of a uniform, linear heat source along the centre of a brooding house provides a thorough drying of the litter that reduces moisture, bacterial count, ammonia production, foot condemnation and the count of disease carrying beetles. Uniform side to side temperatures are accomplished in only a few hours of pre-warming. The uniform temperature eliminates birds "piling on" and can provide an increase in water consumption that may yield an increase in feed conversion and the overall health of the flock.

The enhanced burner box design of the BLACKHEAT ® AG has a protective enclosure for the controls, minimising exposure to dirt and moisture from combustion air and harsh climatic conditions. Aluminised tubing as well as aluminium reflectors and end caps make the BLACKHEAT ® AG ideal for heating chicken houses.
